the important bits

01 — AGE REQUIREMENTS

I tattoo clients aged 18 or over only. According to the laws of each country.
Please bring valid photo identification if requested.

02 — ONE DESIGN, ONE CLIENT

Unless a flash design is clearly marked as repeatable — for example, repeatable with a different colour palette — it is reserved for one client only.

I do not copy work by other artists. I can create a new piece with a similar mood or artistic direction by reworking the references, colour palette, composition and individual elements. The final design will always remain original.

If couples, friends or family members would like matching designs, please mention this in your enquiry so that it can be agreed in advance.

03 — DEPOSITS & RESCHEDULING

Deposit required
Up to two reschedules with 48 hours’ notice
New deposit required for late cancellations and major design changes

A deposit is required to confirm every appointment. The standard deposit is £50/$50/€50.
If you are offered an appointment from the wait-list, the date is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

The deposit secures your appointment or flash design and covers the initial booking administration, preparation and design time. No custom drawing will begin before the deposit has been received. The deposit will be deducted from the final price of your tattoo.

Once payment has been confirmed, your appointment will be secured and the design process can begin. Available flash designs are reserved on a first-paid, first-served basis.

DEPOSIT REFUNDS
If you change your mind, please contact me within 24 hours of receiving your booking confirmation and before design work has begun. After this point, the deposit will normally be non-refundable because appointment preparation or design work may already have started.

RESCHEDULING
Your appointment may be rescheduled up to twice, provided that at least 48 hours’ notice is given. Your existing deposit can be transferred to the new date.A new deposit will be required for a third reschedule or when an appointment is postponed or cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice.

WHEN A NEW DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED
Your original deposit will be retained, and a new deposit will be required, if any of the following occurs:
• You do not attend your appointment or cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice.
• You arrive more than 30 minutes late without contacting me, and the appointment can no longer go ahead without disrupting the rest of the day’s schedule.
• You request a third reschedule.
• You request a completely different tattoo concept after drawing has begun.
• More than three months pass without arranging an appointment or communicating with me after your booking has been accepted.
• You postpone or cancel your appointment on the day.

DESIGN CHANGES
Small adjustments to the colour, size, placement or individual details can be discussed as part of the normal design process.
However, if I have already spent time developing a design based on our consultation and you decide to change to a completely different concept, a new deposit will be required before work begins on the new design.

EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
I understand that illness, travel disruption and unexpected circumstances can happen. If something outside your control affects your appointment, please contact me by email or message as soon as possible.
Exceptional situations will be considered individually, but letting me know early gives us the best chance of finding a fair solution.
Please consider your design, schedule and travel plans carefully before confirming your booking.

04 — CUSTOM DESIGNS

Custom designs are created from your ideas, story and references. Helpful references may include paintings, photographs, objects, colour palettes, textures and compositions.

Please do not ask me to reproduce another tattoo artist’s design. I will always create something original and tailored to you.

Your design will normally be shared one to two days before your appointment. Small adjustments can be discussed before tattooing begins. Substantial changes may require additional time or a new appointment.

Q. How does finger tattooing work? | 손가락 타투

For starters, the skin on your fingers has different characteristics than the skin on your body. It is more prone to fading and smudging than other tattoos on the body where there is a lot of friction and movement.
It is a highly visible location, so there is a high level of satisfaction with finger tattoos, but on the other hand, it is recommended to proceed with the reservation with some awareness that it is difficult to manage perfectly.
Also, I don't recommend it for the palm side because it fades more than 90%, and it doesn't even disappear neatly and beautifully.

Q. How do white tattoos heal? | 화이트 타투

White tattoos tend to be very lightly pigmented compared to other tattoos.
It may look crisp in photos right after the job. However, when it heals and develops colour under the skin, it's usually more of an 'ivory' colour than white! (slightly lighter than your skin tone)
So for white tattoos, a thicker line is a bit more noticeable than a thin line. Because the colour is bright, the ink will look like it's pale, so I recommend retouching. I tend to recommend a thicker line than a thin line because some people say it looks like a scar if it's too thin.

Q. When do I need to get a retouch?

Firstly, if you want to check how your tattoo colour has turned out, send me a message after 3-4 working weeks. Please send me a photo, preferably in daylight, so I can check the colouring accurately.
Send the photo to my email or message, whichever way you're comfortable with.

Retouch tattooing is not mandatory and is minimally applied to work that is absolutely necessary in 1-3 months as it creates repetitive skin damage.
Tone down or loss of clarity after a period of time (2-6 months)when the ink has fully settled into the skin is not a variation of the tattoo. It is caused by natural epidermal thickness variations and UV-induced fading, and I do not recommend retouching for this reason.
* Repairing damage caused by inflammation or external wounds due to your own neglect of aftercare is a rework, not a retouch, and will cost you money.

If there is anything about your tattoo that needs to be more something. After the heal, you have 3 months to contact us if you want a re-touch tattoo. However, if the work has faded over time, there will be a retouch fee.
